It works associated with 3 ice packs, which inserted in the pockets on back and chests (left & right). The ice packs are filled with reusable non-toxic food grade phase change material. It is swollen after emerging into water, and then put them into refrigerator or freezer until frozen. Put them into the vest pockets, it starts to exchange heat from human in order to cool body.
